Perform ClickOnce Deployment
The Hubble desktop application is used to configure connections, profiles, users, etc and build reports and visualizations.
Hubble desktop is packaged as a ClickOnce deployment within the web server installer.
Deployment Procedure
To access Hubble , after the Web Server Deployment has completed (see Hubble Web Server Installation in the Hubble Initial Deployment Guide), use the following URL through Internet Explorer to install Hubble on the required Windows machines.
http://<Hubble Web URL>:591/click-once/Hubble.application
Ensure you replace “<Hubble Web URL>” with the URL you use to access the Hubble web application.
It is not recommended to use an IP address as once the Hubble desktop application is installed via ClickOnce, client PCs will only go back to that same URL to check for and download updates. That may cause problems if the IP address of the application server ever changes.
You may need to use https instead of http if your deployment is configured for that.
You will then be prompted to install Hubble .
After you choose the install option, Hubble will start downloading.
Note: If instead of the install prompt you get the error message “You cannot start application Hubble from this location because it is already installed from a different location” then you will have to manually uninstall the other version first and then try again.
Once the download and install has completed, Hubble desktop will open, but in a new installation, won't find any licenses in the repository:
You are now ready to add licenses. Once licenses have been added, you can start Hubble Desktop again via the shortcut added to your Start menu, or by re-visiting the original URL using Internet Explorer.
The RepositorySelection.xml file which describes how Hubble should connect to its repository can be downloaded to the PC by accessing the link:
http://<Hubble Web URL>:591/click-once/RepositorySelection.xml
You may need to use https instead of http if your deployment is configured for that.
